This portfolio finances clean energy projects across the globe that displace electricity powered by fossil fuels. Energy generation is one of the biggest emitters of greenhouse gases, and renewable energy investment is a fast and effective solution to reduce these emissions all while improving energy security.
Sustainable infrastructure carbon offset projects accelerate the transition to renewable energy and decrease our dependence on fossil fuels. These large-scale technology solutions focus on the biggest sources of global emissions and reduce the carbon intensity of energy, transportation, and industry.
Our sustainable infrastructure carbon offset projects are located where sustainable infrastructure is most impactful, helping developing economies access modern technologies that do not rely on fossil fuels.
We conduct a detailed evaluation of the additional benefits to households, communities and biodiversity from projects, to understand their alignment with specific targets under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The graphics below demonstrate the SDGs most commonly supported by a project type based on a representative sample of our projects.

Renewable Energy Portfolio
Energy Efficiency in Bangladesh
This project implements new technologies that improve existing natural gas networks and avoid methane leakage in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Carbon finance supported the training and adoption of advanced monitoring techniques and sealant materials, to ensure long-lasting repairs.
Transport in USA
This project electrifies rest stops, allowing long-haul truckers to access power without needing to run their engines. The technology enables drivers to keep their trucks comfortable when parked, without the environmental impact of leaving the engine idling.
All the carbon finance projects we support are independently validated and verified in line with recognized global standards, including the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Gold Standard, the American Carbon Registry (ACR) and the Climate Action Reserve (CAR).
As founding members of the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA), we are closely involved with industry groups to evolve and develop standards and approaches for greater impact.
